چکیده
Bio-oil produced from the hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) of biomass is unstable and cannot be transported over long distances to a refinery for upgrading transportation fuel. This study examined effect solvent on stability bio-oils derived HTL sugarcane bagasse. The accelerated aging test (0–8 days at 80 °C) was used assess these oils with aid indicators such as water content, molecular weight range, functional groups present, phase separation, thermal stability, amount residue after analysis oils. mixture ethanol/water found produce most stable bio-oil when compared crude glycerol/water or its own. light fractionated by extraction were more than their corresponding bio-oils. higher heating values (HHVs) during agiging process relatively between 33 35 MJ/kg. maximum boiling temperature first peak in DTG thermogram aged oil 147 °C (cf. diesel 157 °C), while that up 190 °C. stabilities either ethanol glycerol are related alkylation, esterification, acetalization reactions. has demonstrated bagasse presence produces good quality have shelf-lives been projected stored 8 years minor compositional structural changes.

Hydrothermal liquefaction of Litsea cubeba seed to produce bio-oils.
Hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) of Litsea cubeba seed was conducted over different temperature (250-350°C), time (30-120 min), reactor loading (0.5-4.5 g) and Na2CO3 loading (0-10 wt.%). Temperature was the most influential factor affecting the yields of product fractions. The highest bio-oil yield of 56.9 wt.% was achieved at 290°C, 60 min, and reactor loading of 2.5 g. The presence of Na2CO3 ...

متن کاملHydrothermal Liquefaction to Convert Biomass into Crude Oil
All fossil fuels found in nature — petroleum, natural gas, and coal, based on biogenic hypothesis — are formed through processes of thermochemical conversion (TCC) from biomass buried beneath the ground and subjected to millions of years of high temperature and pressure. In particular, existing theories attribute that petroleum is from diatoms (algae) and deceased creatures and coal is from dep...
متن کاملMicrowave-assisted Liquefaction of Rape Straw for the Production of Bio-oils
The acid-catalyzed liquefaction of rape straw in methanol using microwave energy was examined. Conversion yield and energy consumption were evaluated to profile the microwave-assisted liquefaction process. Chemical components of the bio-oils from various liquefaction conditions were identified. A higher reaction temperature was found to be beneficial to obtain higher energy consumption efficien...
